About Medical Genetics, BSc (Hons) - at University of Chester
This course explores genetic disease, mutations leading to disease, and the consequences for treatment. Genetic analysis forms an important tool for the clinician, and developing parallel bioinformatics tools leads to more effective personalised treatments. Another important aspect of medical genetics is the provision of evidence and advice for the genetic counsellor.
