About Archaeology, BA (Hons) - at University of Chester
Archaeology is the study of the human past, from the hunter-gatherers of Ice Age Europe to the inhabitants of modern cities. Our course provides an understanding of these past societies and aims to provide you with a range of skills, including field survey and excavation, critical reading and writing, and scientific analysis.
The single honours degree in archaeology offers a combination of lectures, seminars, practical workshops and fieldwork, all designed to develop your understanding of the human past.
