Course overview
This programme develops your understanding of the politics, principles, evidence and skills associated with public service commissioning and how these interact across organisational boundaries. It is designed for senior managers and policy-makers working in or with public commissioning organisations or with an interest in developing their careers in this direction.
This programme is jointly offered by the Institute of Local Government Studies and the Health Services Management Centre. This forward-thinking programme is designed to help the leaders of such organisations navigate the complex political, strategic and operational terrain that their roles present. It is designed for managers and policy makers working in or with public commissioning organisations and others wishing to develop their understanding of the commissioning role.
