Course overview
The Primary Mathematics Specialist teacher training course is ideal if you want to teach young children and you have a strong interest in mathematics. Subject Specialist Primary ITT (Initial Teacher Training) Programmes (SSPIPs) are innovative new programmes, which enable you to specialise within a primary context. The Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Education (SSPIP) in Mathematics will prepare you for employment in a specialist role of teaching mainly or solely mathematics in a primary school. We are looking to recruit graduates with strong mathematics subject knowledge who demonstrate an enthusiasm for mathematics, an understanding of the primary context and a commitment to this exciting new role.
