Course overview
This course focuses on developing your knowledge and skills in analytical techniques applied in operational forensic casework. As well as enabling you to gain theoretical knowledge you will also get hands-on practical experience.
The School continues to develop its facilities with an impressive laboratory infrastructure and the University will soon be opening a new building specifically for STEM subjects. All teaching is informed by research to ensure you are informed of current and emerging developments in the field and the School also has strong links to external stakeholders in industry and practice sectors.
The course will provide you with techniques utilised in many scientific disciplines so you will be well equipped for employment opportunities in forensic consultancies, government agencies, industry and other organisations related to the broad field of forensics. Recent graduates have found employment in diverse sectors including healthcare, pharmaceutical, research, science and education, whilst others have secured funding to pursue PhDs.
