This masters degree will:

  • explore media education, media literacy and related fields
  • develop your skills of analysis and research
  • combine theory with practical opportunities for media production
  • examine critically the most recent developments in the fields of cultural studies and new media, including the impact of new technologies on education
  • engage with debates about the place and purpose of the media in society, including in formal and informal learning settings.

Mixed mode, including face-to-face residential workshops at the IOE and British Film Institute of two to three days per module, supported by online learning.
