Course overview
This masters degree will:
- deepen your knowledge of child development and developmental psychology
- take an informed, critical approach to developmental psychology
- provide high-quality education in the main theories, methods, and findings of psychological research.
This masters degree provides the opportunity to:
- gain Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society
- be taught by staff with a wide range of psychological expertise
- benefit from strong links with psychological expertise in other colleges of the University of London
- prepare for professional work with children and young people or progression to higher research degrees and employment as a researcher.
Psychology graduates who want to progress to research careers or professional training, or people who wish to become eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society.
Entry requirementsA good first degree with at least 60 credits or equivalent in core areas of psychology, or the Graduate Certificate in Psychology (see page 199), grade B or better.

By coursework and a 12,000-word dissertation or a 6,000-word report.
