In Germany all public universities are free of tuition fees. Since TU Dortmund University is a public institution there is no tuition fee for the MMT. However, students are requested to pay a social contribution fee.

Course overview

Curriculum

The Anglophone master’s program in covers all important fields of the Faculties of Mathematics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering as well as Biological and Chemical Engineering. Lectures and laboratories are directly involved in research projects at the Robotics Research Institute (IRF) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) so that a highly topical curriculum is guaranteed.

During the first semester, the technical fundamentals are imparted. In their second semester, students opt for one of the two specializations Process Automation and Robotics. Both profiles encompass different compulsory and elective subjects of all participating disciplines. In addition to the technical lectures soft skills trainings are offered, furthering in particular your communicative competence and your project management abilities.

The A&R program consists largely of laboratory work to provide students with practical experiences in up-to-date technology.
