- To outline a comprehensive programmme for injury prevention and treatment.
- To present a scientific basis for the study of all aspects of sports medicine and exercise.
- To familiarise the participants with theory and practice of a wide range of sporting disciplines.
- To define guidelines for the scientific monitoring and training of athletes.
