Course overview
Visual effects is the balanced amalgamation of left brain and right brain thinking. Artists rely on technical skills and software knowledge to bring creative ideas to life and a filmmaker's vision to the screen.
Toronto Film School's Visual Effects (VFX) Diploma deconstructs the VFX pipeline with a cumulative approach to teaching the art. Each term yields a practical outcome that prepares students to take up industry assignments. Students start working with a still shot, blend it with 3D assets and film and then add visual effects. The program culminates with students pulling all this together and creating the final VFX shot that is then evaluated by industry professionals.
Students graduate prepared to handle complex VFX assignments and with a diverse portfolio that maximizes employment prospects.
