The Student Finance service provides student loans to help pay for tuition fees and the cost of living, depending on your circumstances.

You'll be charged interest on your loan as soon as you take it out, but you only start repayments once you earn more than a certain amount - currently £21,000.

Repayments are based on how much you earn, not how much you've borrowed.

Course overview

This is the final stage module for all students undertaking the flexible provision MSc programme within the faculty, who wish to pursue a work based dissertation.

It can be studied over 1 year part time, or 6 months full time.

This module aims to support students in developing and critically utilising knowledge and skills to undertake a work based project relevant to a health / social care setting. This project can include developing bespoke competencies to extend/ advance your role.

The module will commence with an introductory week, exploring in depth the key elements of undertaking a work based dissertation. Students will be allocated a supervisor who will advise and guide them through the project including where relevant identifying the need to develop themselves or practice in order to enhance service delivery and submitting any R&D documentation. Students will be expected to direct their own study whilst undertaking a project.
