The Student Finance service provides student loans to help pay for tuition fees and the cost of living, depending on your circumstances.
You'll be charged interest on your loan as soon as you take it out, but you only start repayments once you earn more than a certain amount - currently £21,000.
Repayments are based on how much you earn, not how much you've borrowed.
Course overview
This is the final stage preparation module for all students undertaking the flexible framework MSc programme within the faculty, who wish to pursue primary research for their final stage project.
This module aims to support students to enable them to prepare to undertake primary research. It must be undertaken prior to commencing the final stage module 'Pursuing Primary Research'
Through lectures, practical sessions and tutorials, students will learn about qualitative and quantitative approaches, the research process including literature searching, data collection and data analysis.
Independent directed study activities will further support students understanding the components of a high quality study, enabling them to write a research protocol in preparation for their final stage project.
For students wishing to complete this module as a distance learning module, e-learning materials relating to academic lectures, tutorials and practical activities will be available as a programme of study.
