Why Chemical Engineering?

  • The Wolfson Department of Chemical Engineering is training and educating the engineers and researchers who will spearhead the future Chemical / Bio Chemical Energy and Environmental industry and academia.
  • The graduate study program in the department aims to provide the students with dedicated tools to become experts in their specific research topic on the one hand, and on the other hand equip them with a broad spectrum of basic knowledge that will allow them to contribute to diverse fields of industry and research.

The research conducted at the department deals with forefront issues of  global science such as: 

  • Biosystem and Bioengineering
  • Environment, Water Membranes  and Desalination Process
  • Colloid and Interface Science
  • Polymer Science and Technology
  • Advanced Materials
  • Catalysis, Process System Engineering  and Transport Phenomena
  • Alternative Fuels and Energy

The department offers the following graduate studies tracks:

  • Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering - This is a thesis-based track designed for outstanding students holding a BSc in Chemical Engineering.
  • Master of Science (M.Sc.) - This is a thesis-based track designed for outstanding students holding an engineering BSc other than Chemical or BSc in Exact Sciences.
  • A Ph.D. program where students are required to complete 10 academic points (coursework), and complete research work and submit a thesis.
