Course overview

The MSc by Research in Business Management is a one year (full-time) research degree which offers complete flexibility through its wholly research based mode of study.

You will have the freedom to choose your own area of research within business management, with the support of the School's world-class academics.

Blending independent research with expert academic supervision, this course provides an advanced understanding of contemporary trends and issues in Management and associated areas.

Whether you're interested in consumer behaviour, global business strategies or human resource management; you will have an opportunity to produce a piece of research which could have a significant impact on a particular area of business.

The course itself is designed to prepare you for a career in academia, business or further postgraduate or professional study.

Qualifications
Applicants for MSc by Research must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University). See our Country Specific Postgraduate Entry Requirements.

English Language
IELTS 6.5 Overall (with no individual component below 6.5) or Swansea University recognised equivalent. Full details of our English Language policy, including certificate time validity, can be found here.

As well as academic qualifications, Admissions decisions may be based on other factors, including (but not limited to): the standard of the research synopsis/proposal, performance at interview, intensity of competition for limited places, and relevant professional experience.
