Student reviews
Hello, my name is Svitlana Abu-Eyd, and I’m proud to say that I’m a graduate of the Educational Support program at St. Clair College.
Originally, I’m from Ukraine. Like many others, I came to Canada because of the war, starting a new chapter in my life from zero. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to find purpose again - and St. Clair College gave me that opportunity.
The Educational Support program opened the door for me to do what I truly love: helping students with special needs. Even though I had a background in robotics and computer engineering, this program helped me combine my past experience with a new purpose—supporting exceptional learners and contributing to Canadian society in a meaningful way.
At St. Clair College, I was surrounded by passionate, highly experienced instructors who care deeply about their students’ success. The program offers real, hands-on training through placements in schools, and teaches you how to work alongside teachers, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, and other professionals. I also had the chance to learn how to use the most current assistive technologies to support students' individual needs.
What I love most about this program is that it gives anyone - regardless of their background - a chance to make a real difference. Whether you're starting from zero like I did, or looking to build on your previous experience, the program helps you grow into someone who can support students, families, and the wider community in powerful and compassionate ways.
Today, my goal is to integrate robotics and basic coding into special education. I truly believe that technology can help students with disabilities develop their learning skills, confidence, and ability to thrive in our modern world.
If you're looking for a program that not only gives you practical skills but also fills your work with purpose and heart, I highly recommend the Educational Support program at St. Clair College. It changed my life -and I know it can change yours too.
I'm Shirleen Nyumbila and I'm a proud graduate of Hospitality at St. Clair College in beautiful Windsor, Ontario.
My experience at St. Clair has been amazing—from the supportive professors to the hands-on learning that really prepares you for the real world.
Living in Windsor has also been a great part of the journey, since it's affordable and it gives a relaxed vibe. I was excited to make friends around the world.
What I loved most is how my education sets me up for success. I have gained practical skills and industry knowledge, both in class and through cocurricular activities like being president of the Hospitality Club. I also got a chance to represent St. Clair College in the Skills Ontario Competition 2024, under the Restaurant Service category and was a Silver medalist. All these will give me a real edge in my career for sure.
So if you’re thinking about your future—choose St. Clair College. It’s more than a school; it’s a launchpad for your dreams.

“I decided on St. Clair College because I wanted a program that was practical and connected to the real world.
The Construction Project Management program gave me the skills and confidence I needed, and the professors were always there to support me. I was lucky to do my co-op with Elmara Construction Ltd., which turned into a full-time job after graduation.
Now I’m working at Elmara as a Project Manager, and every day I use the project planning and communication tools I learned at St. Clair. It really made the transition from being a student to working in the field feel natural.
Looking back, I’m thankful for the hands-on experience and the opportunities that helped me start my career.”
