This course prepares you for a career in events management, but with a specialisation in the role that events play in tourism and destination management. You study events and tourism theory, policy and practice integrated with business management. We develop your understanding of what is involved in planning and managing events. An important part of your work involves projects and business simulation. Through these, you experience the part venues play in the leisure industry and in events such as * sporting events * concerts * festivals * corporate events * weddings. The course focuses on the events and tourism industries, but the broader analytical and personal skills you develop are applicable to many careers. Your learning involves taking part in seminars, workshops and projects in our modern facilities at City Campus.
