About MSc Human Resource Management/Human Resource Development, MSc - at Sheffield Hallam University

This course is for graduates in a relevant discipline wishing to develop and broaden their skills, knowledge and understanding of human-resource management and development. It also provides a way for organisations wishing to develop their staff through exposure to key issues, ideas and techniques. The course gives a general introduction to management in organisations, followed by specialist theory and practice in key areas of human-resource management and development. Normally you will already be employed in a human-resource management-related role and wanting to develop your professional career in this field. On reapproval of our new programme in May 2007 by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), the chair of the panel commented, `The panel was impressed by the facilities and resources, by the commitment and professionalism of the course team and the strong links with the local branch. There was clear evidence of a student-focused approach and delivery.’
