Course overview
We designed this course for enthusiastic, innovative and ambitious fashion designers. It provides a broad base of skills to meet the needs of the fashion industry.
We emphasise creativity, concept generation and your personal development to help you become a unique designer with high creative awareness. We encourage you to identify and develop your own interests and strengths.
The fashion studios and workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art digital facilities, providing a lively and stimulating environment. You also have access to wider facilities in the University such as laser cutting, photography, printing and other workshop equipment.
Study visits to exhibitions and events in London, Paris and New York are a central part of the course. You also
complete live projects
enter competitions
hear from guest lecturers
have the opportunity to take part in student exchange programmes
In your final year, we direct you towards understanding your own skills and professional interests. You build on previous learning and further develop a design philosophy. Finally, you demonstrate your skills and ability by producing a collection of two and three dimensional work for your final exhibition.
We try to offer all applicants an interview, where geographically possible. We like to see samples of your work. Provided you meet our minimum entry requirements, we base our offer on your application, interview and work portfolio.
