Overview of the university

Located 20 minutes from downtown Victoria in one of Canada’s most beautiful National Historic Sites with over 565 acres of hiking trails, gardens, waterfront, and even a castle (which you may recognize from the X-Men and Deadpool movies!), Royal Roads is a unique Canadian public research university that specializes in leading-edge applied and professional programs in Business, Tourism & Hospitality, Communication & Culture, Education & Technology, Environment & Sustainability, Humanitarian Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Leadership Studies and Professional & Continuing Studies.

Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs are offered on campus, online and in a blended format, designed for mature working professionals and young aspiring leaders. 

At the undergraduate level, degree completion programs are geared toward students who have completed 2 years of post-secondary at any recognized institution, worldwide. The average class size at RRU is 35, which allows students greater access to their instructors and a supportive student community.

Royal Roads University values lessons learned outside the classroom, offering applicants who do not have the formal academic education to qualify for Standard Admission the opportunity to be assessed under flexible admission.
