Overview of the university

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been developing leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators since 1845, making it one of the UK's leading agricultural universities. Situated in the picturesque Cirencester, Gloucestershire, the campus is a stone's throw away from the lively town centre. The RAU offers courses in different subject areas e.g., Agriculture, Business, Cultural Heritage, Environment, Equine, and Land & Property. It is a truly global university with more than 1,600 students from 46 countries plus more than 2,100 students studying with its Chinese partnerships. The RAU was awarded Silver in the latest Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) ratings and more than half of the research produce at the RAU has been assessed as ‘world-leading and international in quality’ in the Research Excellence Framework.  A commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset is ingrained in every curriculum. Upholding values such as collaboration, open-mindedness, resourcefulness, responsibility, and inclusivity, RAU boasts a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community, extending partnerships both nationally and internationally.
