Entry requirements

SQA Higher: BCC

GCE A Level: CC

ILC Higher: BC1C1

IB Diploma: 24

Alternative Qualifications: HNC or equivalent qualifications will be considered for year 1 and potentially year 2 entry. Overseas qualifications and access programmes will be considered on an individual basis.

Applications are welcomed from students with alternative qualifications and relevant work experience.

Degree Link Programme: HND Hospitality Management qualifications from one of our partner FE Colleges will be considered for year 3 entry.

Advanced Entry students to year 3 will have the opportunity to undertake work experience in Semester 2 lasting 24 weeks.

Placements and accreditations

In year 3 there are placement opportunities available locally, nationally and internationally, such as the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, AVC Media Enterprises, Malmaison Hotels, Gleneagles Hotel, Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle, Bunchrew House Hotel, Adare Manor Resort (Ireland), Disney Worldwide Services Inc (USA), Fairmont Hotels and Resorts (Canada), Waccabuc Golf and Country Club (USA) and The Broadmoor Resort, Colorado Springs (USA).

This course is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality and entitles you to membership, providing opportunities to attend industry events, network with professionals and access learning materials.

Fees and bursaries

UK/EU Students

New students: £1820 for academic year 2010/11

Students from Scotland and the EU are not liable to pay fees and should apply to SAAS for funding.

If you are from England, Wales or Northern Ireland you should apply to the appropriate funding body.
