Course overview
The BA Program in Art, Design and Media with Combined Studies offers students a range of contemporary, cross-disciplinary and multi-media core courses which deal with concepts in art, design and media and most importantly, in the interfaces between them. Students are also schooled in professional skills and techniques and appropriate theory, while being directed towards ambitious creative goals. During their final semester, students are required to produce a major piece of art work for exhibition.
Teaching and learning are regarded as collaborative ventures between faculty and students. Effective mentoring of students is regarded as high priority. Students are guided to choose the courses which will give them the greatest opportunity to realize their potential. They are encouraged to explore the rich offerings that London has available. These include some of the world’s major museums, art auction houses, hundreds of exhibitions of contemporary art, design and media, as well as music, dance and theatre performances. Art, design and Media graduates generally
work as practitioners in the fields of arts or media. Our degree comprehensively prepares students for postgraduate study, for further training in specific fields, or for immediate employment in a range of careers.
