Course overview
The School of Law offers a rich and diverse range of courses for either a general LLM or a specialised LLM programme and provides choices from more than 80 taught courses. There is also a major research component in the form of an extended essay, which counts as one course in your LLM choices.
The LLM can be taken full-time (one year) or part-time (two years).
Full-time students complete four courses to obtain an LLM degree. Three of these must be selected from the taught course programme. The four courses may be made up of either full or half courses (a full course runs over two terms and a half course runs over one term). The taught component of the LLM takes place over two terms, commencing end of September until the end of March.
