About Laws, PG Dip - at Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London

This programme gives you the freedom to build your own bespoke PgDip. You can choose from the full range of the School of Law's London-based LLM modules.

  • The freedom to choose: We have a wide range of LLM modules to choose from which will enable you to create your own PG Diploma programme
  • Study with a top ten UK law school
  • Benefit from our excellent partnerships with international law firms and other legal institutions

This PG Diploma in Law enables you to build your own customised programme by allowing you to pick from many of the modules offered across all specialisms.

This course requires completion of 120 credits of modules from any of our availbale modules taught each year in London (some of which are taught in the evening).

If you wish, you can select all of your modules from a specific LLM programme list of electives and request to have your diploma reflect this. Information on this will be available at induction but note that not all programme areas will be available.

We also offer a range of specialised PG Diploma programmes. If you would like to guarantee your diploma to show expertise in one of these specific areas of law, you should apply for this directly.

If you're thinking of working while studying part-time, you may also want to consider our Flexible Study PgDip.

You don't have to choose your modules until you have learnt about them in greater detail during your induction period. However, not all of the modules listed will be available in any one year and semesters listed can be subject to change.

Structure

The PG Diploma (part-time) must be completed within two years.

  • 120 credits of taught modules (this can include a 30 credits elective dissertation) spread over the 2 year period.
