About Competition Law, LLM - at Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London

The Competition Law LLM explores the impact of competition law in areas such as monopolies and mergers and their regulation and control; intellectual property rights and anti-competitive practices; international competition law and international trade. This is an exciting and increasingly important area of law, particularly internationally and across the EU.

  • Join the Institute for Competition and Consumers (ICC) at Queen Mary, which conducts research in competition law and policy
  • Attend different ICC events in the form of conferences, lectures and seminars
  • Participate in the Global Antitrust Review (GAR), an online refereed student journal that aims to encourage and promote scholarship among young competition law scholars
  • Your fellow students will come from the UK and more than 80 other countries, each able to draw on prior academic and professional experience from different jurisdictions

Consider all aspects of transnational governance, EU competition law and international competition law. You'll also have the opportunity to explore issues of intellectual property and competition law in cyberspace. Please note that not all modules will be available in any one year.

You will be offered a varied selection of taught modules from which you can choose, enabling you to gear your qualification to set you on your desired career trajectory. You do not have to choose your modules until you have had the opportunity to learn about them in greater detail during your comprehensive induction period.

You will have voluntary access to an excellent series of lectures in Critical Thinking and Writing in Law to help you to improve your writing and research in law skills.

Join the Queen Mary Network and speak to our community about this programme.
