Scientific research has given us an excellent understanding of the fundamental aspects of nutrition, including:

  • how our bodies use different foods
  • and how we can be confident that our food is safe to eat

This degree explores the links between diet and health, from the cell and molecular level through to people and populations.

This degree is professionally accredited by the Association for Nutrition.

This means that, when you graduate, you can apply for direct entry onto the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists at the Associate level and use ANutr after your name.

Graduates of non-accredited courses have to go through a lengthy process of additional assessment to achieve this.
