Course overview
Applications for postgraduate study (full-time, part-time and industry-based) by research, leading to a PhD are welcomed. Research in the School is grouped into five main areas, each drawing on a range of different fields. The areas are:
- Chemical Engineering
- Engineering of Microwaves, Terahertz and Light (E-MIT)
- Energy
- Nuclear Science and Engineering
- Structures, Materials and Manufacturing
Entry requirements
2:1 Hons degree (UK or equivalent) in an engineering or associated discipline, ideally supplemented by a Master's-level qualification.

Additional requirements
