Course overview
A norm creative Master's programme in visual communication with a focus on your own work.
Who shares what with whom through what types of design and media – and to what effect? Traditionally programmes in design and visual communication have focused on the isolated significance of design and media. In the new Master's programme in visual communication, we want to give you what is required for greater understanding of what relationships in a communicative process look like and how they create or transform meaning.
For two years you will be given the opportunity to challenge and at the same time intensify your own practice in graphic design and/or illustration in relation to a wider social and societal context. What is unique for the programme is that we use a norm creative methodology to explore how identity, norms and boundary lines are shaped and reproduced through visual culture. Tutorials, seminars, feedback, workshops and lectures mean that the programme offers a creative setting for cooperation where the focus of both the discussions and activities will be your own work.
