Embark on a fascinating journey to understand people, society and behaviour on our Psychology with Sociology BSc. Learn about the mind, emotions and individual differences, using theories, research methods and concepts to uncover human behaviour. As a social scientist, you will develop valuable skills in critical thinking, communication and problem-solving that will support you in the workplace, across a wide range of careers in psychology, education, civil services and the health sector. Keele's Psychology with Sociology degree examines the human mind, people's emotions, and behaviours, as well as analysing culture and society. Our BPS-accredited* programme covers developmental, social, biological, and cognitive psychology, as well as the 'why' behind individual differences within each of these areas. Sociology explores fundamental questions about society, social relationships, institutions, and culture. You will be introduced to fundamental topics in ethics and social theory with the opportunity to investigate these further as you progress through your degree.

The blend of Psychology with Sociology enables you to consider how these subjects can be applied to different areas of life and go hand in hand to understand society. Throughout your degree, you will train as a responsible and ethical researcher, building valuable skills, applicable to various careers. You will gain skills in how to conduct research and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to draw conclusions that advance your understanding of how people think and behave. Developing critical thinking skills, you will become equipped with essential attributes applicable for working in various fields from caring professions, education and psychology.
