About Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, BSc (Hons) - at Edge Hill University
Robotics and artificial intelligence is one of the greatest intellectual developments of the 21st century. It is increasingly relevant in commercial and domestic life and in transforming how we live, work, travel and learn. Examples of current and emerging artificial systems include robots for the home and entertainment, robots for social care and assisting those with additional needs, agricultural robots and those used in supply chain management systems. On this degree you will explore the inter-related commercial disciplines used to create artificial systems and gain fundamental skills in programming, operating systems, software design, applied mathematics and network architecture. This will underpin the specialist expertise you will develop in the theory of robotics and artificial intelligence, the exploration of practical applications and autonomous systems, and exposure to the tools that assist development.
