Course overview
This degree is primarily for LLB students wishing to study criminology and criminal justice during their degree. It involves comprehensive study of key legal principles, doctrines, civil and criminal justice institutions and systems, together with modules that comprise the foundations of legal knowledge. It has the added advantage of a specialist minor in Criminology. At the heart of this course is the idea that future lawyers need to have knowledge of national, European and international laws and institutions. You will be expected to take an interest in legal issues and be able to comment on developments in the law, including new case law and legislation, based on your analysis of legal authorities. The study of criminological theories will enhance your understanding of law
