Course overview
Studying English Language gives you considerable scope for investigating all aspects of the form and use of spoken and written English. You will consider the ways English has developed over time, how it is changing and how and what it is used for. You will gain skills in listening, transcribing and analysing language while investigating topics including how these linguistic skills can be applied to areas such as teaching English, gender studies and psycholinguistics.
