Course overview
This degree gives you the opportunity to explore the world of education, including why our school and university systems exist as they are, and how a succession of governments have helped shape and mould the way in which we teach and train children and adults. You will come to understand the UK education system not only in its own right, but also in its European and global contexts. Students will engage with the thinkers and ideas that are at the forefront of current education policy and practice, tracing the evolution of the most important ideas that have shaped the way we teach and learn in the 21st century.
