Course overview
Joining this degree will enable you to develop as an expressive dance practitioner and graduate with a range of skills sought after within the industry, including dance techniques, performance, dance teaching, choreography and contemporary practice. You will train in contemporary and postmodern dance techniques as well as Ballet, African, Capoeira and Jazz and balance your artistic and creative development with studying the theory and analysis of dance, providing you with an in-depth education to become a dance artist of the future. You will be taught by tutors who cultivate a culture of performance, both within the course and through our Edge Fwd and Third Edge undergraduate performance companies, offering extra-curricular opportunities to tour work created with professional dance artists. You can also choose to study optional modules such as aerial dance, business arts and enterprise or drama.
