Course overview
This degree enables you to examine perspectives on the causes of crime and violence and the role and function of the criminal justice system, analysing the significance of social status in the provision of justice and rights. You will also study social trends and investigate sociological developments and phenomena in cultural, political and historical contexts, achieved through a focus on the social structures, institutions, orthodoxies, processes, organisations and groups we live our lives within.
