Course overview
The distance learning programme “Quantum Technologies” is accredited to award the academic degree Master of Science (M.Sc.). The English-language Master's programme has a standard period of study of six semesters (part-time).
Objective and Target Group
The distance learning programme provides in-depth basic knowledge from the field of quantum technologies, specialisations in four pillars of quantum technology as well as lab courses to prepare students on an academic level for their future professional career.
The programme is aimed at individuals who are already active in the field of quantum technologies or related fields and want to deepen their knowledge through a solid foundation of techniques and methods on a scientific basis.
Teaching-Learning-Format
The teaching-learning-format consists of comprehensive, scientifically sound and practice-oriented self-study materials that have been developed by experts especially for distance learning, an online campus as an interactive learning platform and on-campus phases to consolidate the knowledge that is acquired through self-study in theory and practice.Mandatory on-campus phases take place once per semester over a (long) weekend in Kaiserslautern.
