Course overview
An understanding and appreciation of the inherent interdisciplinary nature of the Earth sciences and resource management is greatly valued by both academia and industry. We prepare students for this challenge using skill-sets that include courses and practical field and lab work, numerical and analytical skills to equip them with a sound knowledge in Earth science disciplines and data sciences. This track will be complemented by modules introducing the principles of sustainability and management and its application to environmental resources. The modular curriculum allows for an excellent integration of optional complementary courses from the social sciences, e.g., economics and politics, and from other science disciplines.
The three-year undergraduate program involves six semesters of study with a total of 180 ECTS credit points (CP). The curricular structure follows an innovative and student-centered modularization scheme - the 3C-Model - that groups the disciplinary content of the three study years according to overarching themes:
- Year 1 - Choice
- Year 2 - Core
- Year 3 - Career
