Course overview

This course covers broadcast television, studio and location work, research, scriptwriting and new media. You'll be well placed to apply for a limited number of competitive internship placements, including at STV, offering valuable hands-on experience in video, broadcast, editing and online production.

The course balances professional level technical production skills and research practice. We have close links with the television industry and you will enjoy the expertise of visiting specialists covering all aspects of TV production, alongside teaching staff, who have direct experience of working in the industry.

Run in partnership with the School of Arts and Creative Industries at Edinburgh Napier University, who have a first class reputation for excellence in practice-led screen courses, it is delivered at City of Glasgow College's outstanding industry standard studio and production facilities and offers students a degree in Television.
