Course overview

This exciting and challenging course provides you with the skills knowledge and understanding for a career within the dynamic and ever-changing world of retail.

This course provides the foundation necessary to fill trainee management positions or run your own small retail business. It covers all aspects of the retail environment including Stock Presentation, Customer Care, Fashion Merchandising, Buying, Visual Merchandising and Consumer Behaviour. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your digital communication skills.

Your course lecturers will bring their individual background knowledge and experience of the retail industry to the classroom environment in order to enhance and improve your learning experience. Methods of teaching will include case studies reflecting real life retail scenarios, group discussion, projects, visits and guest speakers.

In 2nd year, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a work placement with leading retailers e.g., New Look, House of Fraser, Schuh, Tesco, River Island, Matalan, M & Co and Marks and Spencer.
