About Double Degree programme in European Studies (with Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche, Giuridiche e Studi Internazionali of the University of Padova), Master - at Institute of European Studies, Jagiellonian University

This double degreeprogramme was launched as part of the Master programme in European Studies, which has been jointly delivered by the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University and the Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche, Giuridiche e Studi Internazionali of the University of Padova.The possibility of completing the whole academic year at the one of the oldest and the most prestigious Italian university provides an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the process of European integration and the functioning of the European Union institutions in the legal-economic, socio-political and anthropological-historical perspective. This double degree programme is designed for two semesters. The first year of the programme is held at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Students follow a course of studies particular to European Studies, and all courses are run in Polish or in English.  The second year of studies takes place at the University of Padua and all courses are held in English. The programme is an integral part of the Master in "European and Global Studies"(LM-90) and offers lectures and seminars that deal with European issues in order to offer students the knowledge and the skills needed to acquire the necessary tools to understand the dynamics of European integration and the process of globalisation and its national and international impact. 

Recruitment covers two phases: 1) the application procedure for Polish programmes at the Institute of European Studies and 2) a subsequent interview (in English) by the commission that ultimately decides on admission to the programme.
