The SQA Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management and AAS College develop the management, supervisory and interpersonal skills required for employment in the hospitality industry. It covers management of accommodation, accounting, human resource management, management of hospitality organizations, and management of food and beverage operations. Students will also gain an understanding of the structure and organization of the industry, and its influence on the economy, skills and knowledge that employers need. Set in a global context, the SQA Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management provides students with an understanding of accommodation servicing, food and beverage operations, and hospitality.
This course will provide graduates with a wide range of opportunities to work in excellent hotels, country clubs, theme parks, leisure centres, exhibition venues and catering services.
Aims:
The SQA Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management award has a range of aims relating to academic and vocational progression. These are: Developing skills such as:
